Differentiation

Modifications

•    Limit game boards to smaller number ranges for students who need support.
•    Provide number lines or counters to support addition strategies.
•    Allow oral explanation instead of written answers for students with writing difficulties.

EXTENSIONS

•    Ask students to write the full number sentence before claiming their square.
•    Challenge pairs to create their own game boards using new addition problems.
•    Add a time limit to each turn for a fluency challenge.
