Description

This resource has been created to support the Year 3 Unit of Work- Significant Events, Symbols and Emblems. This resource contains two texts on the celebrations of Diwali and the Lunar New Year, a Venn diagram to compare the information they have found, and a summary scaffold to support students in drawing conclusions from the information they have discovered. A fantastic resource to get students to recognise and analyse celebrations that are important to different groups.

Modifications

Students can work in pairs or small groups to complete the worksheet.
Alternatively, students could record their responses orally on an iPad or type them up on a computer.

EXTENSIONS

Students write their own summary without the use of the scaffolds contained on this worksheet.
