# Decimal War

Description

This decimal card game is a fun way for your numeracy rotations to practice their decimal addition. Students draw a card from the deck to populate their addition equations, competing to make the largest sum they can with 6 random cards. This can be played in pairs, rotations, large groups, or write a target sum on the board and let your fast finishers have try to beat it.

This game is part of a larger unit where students learn the first skills of decimal operations (specifically focusing on addition and subtraction) and encourages them to sharpen their estimation and rounding skills, empowering them to critically assess and validate the reasonableness of their answers.
