These task cards have multiple uses. They could be used to support further explicit teaching of making inferences, during guided reading groups and also small group and literacy rotations.

EXTENSIONS

Students can choose a task card and write a paragraph based on the visual to match their inferences.

Depending on ability level, these can be used as whole class lesson starter or a beginning writing task (prompt). Could also be used as rotation activity. Questions are clear - good repetition to support inference comprehension. Picture is engaging.
