Description

The My Turn - Your Turn Social Story is a visual and written guide to help young learners understand and practise turn-taking in social situations. Through clear, simple language and engaging illustrations, this resource teaches children how to take turns in games, conversations, and shared activities. It also provides strategies for waiting patiently, using polite language, and seeking help when needed.

This resource is available in both black-and-white and colour versions for flexible classroom use.

Differentiation

Modifications

•    Print in A3 for a shared classroom display or A5 for individual student booklets.
•    Provide the black-and-white version for students to colour in and personalise.
•    Use as a digital presentation for whole-class discussions.

EXTENSIONS

•    Have students role-play turn-taking scenarios using classroom materials.
•    Integrate with board games or interactive activities that require turn-taking.
•    Encourage students to create their own social story about a time they practised taking turns.
