Playful Poetic Devices is a rotation activity designed to consolidate the understanding of poetic devices such as alliteration, nonsense words and onomatopeia and how to recognise these devices in everyday use. This resource is a part of our year 4 unit of work on poetry.
Examine the use of literary devices and deliberate word play in literary texts, including poetry, to shape meaning
