Real Word or Nonsense Word

Real Word or Nonsense Word
View Curriculum Codes
Description

How long will it take to build a real word? This fun and silly game is a great way for students to practise phoneme substitution. The teacher will display the word ending on the board, then use the phoneme flashcards to prompt students. Students must then blend the sounds to make either a real word or a nonsense word! This resource is part of the unit of work for Year 2- Blending and Segmenting.
