Description

This game contains 2 levels of difficulty.

Level 1 asks the students to use their knowledge of phonemic awareness to identify the sounds contained in words to move around the gameboard. Simply spin the spinner, find the word with the long vowel sound and say the word to move forward. The first player to the end wins!

Level 2 challenges students to identify the missing vowel sounds from the words. Simply spin the spinner, find the word missing the long vowel sound and write the word to move forward. Make a nonsense word and you must go back where you came from! The first player to the end, wins! 

This resource is part of the units of work for Year 2 and 3- Blending and Segmenting.
