Our 2 Piece Number Puzzles - 0 to 10 were created to support preschool and early Foundation students as they connect numerals to quantities including zero and up to 10 and are introduced to the concept of subitising.
This is a quick activity that allows a teacher to easily assess students. It is also a fabulous morning activity for parents to complete with their children.
Partition and combine collections up to 10 using part-part-whole relationships and subitising to recognise and name the parts
Recognise and name the number of objects within a collection up to 5 using subitising
Connect number names, numerals and quantities, including zero, initially up to 10 and then beyond
Subitise small collections of objects
Describes mathematical situations using everyday language, actions, materials and informal recordings
