Description

This presentation is designed to accompany the STEM activity of the same name. It walks students through the human history of bridge building, why it is done and how it has changed, as well as introducing students to the bridge-building challenge that they will be doing in class.

Modifications

There is a section on a historic bridge collapse in the presentation. While there are no graphic photos or descriptions, the idea might be upsetting for some students. The slides can be skipped or deleted if you have any concerns.
