This interactive and editable PowerPoint presentation is all about getting your students to use drop down menus. The class will learn how to use this advanced tool to change font colour and size, as well as how to change the colour of graphics. For best results, create a copy for each student or add the presentation to a shared folder. Run the presentation outside of Slide Show mode to use the interactive elements.
Use during whole class computer lessons or literacy group rotations.
Create and participate in shared editing of short written texts to record and report ideas and events using some learnt vocabulary, basic sentence boundary punctuation and spelling some consonant–vowel–consonant words correctly
Create and re-read to edit short written and/or multimodal texts to report on a topic, express an opinion or recount a real or imagined event, using grammatically correct simple sentences, some topic-specific vocabulary, sentence boundary punctuation and correct spelling of some one- and two-syllable words
Recognise, continue and create repeating patterns with numbers, symbols, shapes and objects, identifying the repeating unit
