End of Year Zentangle Keepsake
This fantastic End of Year Zentangle is a great way for your students to celebrate the end of the school year. The activity focuses on the visual art element of Line and encourages students to be creative by drawing various line patterns. The design allows space for students to have their classmates sign or write messages. The resource includes a page of line design ideas to inspire your students' creativity. Modifications
Provide a smaller selection of line patterns to copy, enlarge the template, pre-draw extra sections, model one pattern at a time, allow pencil-only designs, reduce the number of sections students complete, provide thicker drawing tools, or pair students with a completed sample and the Line Pattern Idea Sheet for visual support.
Extensions
Students can invent additional line patterns, divide the templates into extra sections, create a limited colour palette, design an original End of Year Zentangle design, explore symmetry or repeated motifs, or explain which patterns and colour choices create the strongest visual effect.
