Following Directions Card Game

This hands-on game is a great way for students to practise one, two and three-step directions. Students will be given locational and directional instructions that need to be followed to win the game.

Learning goals

  • We are learning to describe the position and location of objects in a familiar space, e.g. inside, underneath, on top of.
  • We are learning to use appropriate language to describe location.
  • We are learning to give and follow directions to familiar locations.

Differentiation

Modifications

Younger students may need assistance to read the direction cards.
