Multiplication and Division Facts Game for Year 4: Glow Go
This multiplication and division facts game for Year 4 is Glow Go, an interactive whiteboard racing game by Teach This aligned to the Australian Curriculum. Students recall multiplication facts and the related division facts, such as 7 × 8, 9 × 9, 63 ÷ 9 and 72 ÷ 8. Four teams pick a neon racer and answer 15 multiple choice questions, and six of them are division facts. Teams write A, B, C or D on a mini whiteboard, then tap their answer on the board. A correct answer unlocks the team's Go button and moves its racer one step along the glowing track.
It opens in Microsoft PowerPoint on any interactive whiteboard, panel or projector, with no macros, no student logins and no student data collected. A race takes 15 to 20 minutes, which suits the week before a times tables check-in. Each division strategy in the notes names the matching multiplication fact, so students hear how the two operations link.

Modifications
Give teams a multiplication grid for the division questions. Pair students so a more confident partner can talk through the strategy aloud before the team writes its letter.
Extensions
Ask each team to state the full fact family for the question before the answer is shown, such as 7 × 9, 9 × 7, 63 ÷ 7 and 63 ÷ 9. Challenge students to explain how 10 × 9 helps them work out 9 × 9.
