Olympic Challenges - No-Prep Class and @Home

Olympic Challenges - No-Prep Class and @Home
Description

This is a mini-olympics activity that is suitable for both home and school learning. It’s the perfect activity for wet lunches, for wiggly children who need to expel some energy and for teachers who don’t fancy a trip to gather a selection of sport equipment, which always seems to quickly turn into something of a school scavenger hunt. It’s also a great transition game for class or for settling students after returning from specialist classes.

You don’t need anything at all for this activity. We suggest popping it up on the IWB or TV in your classroom and simply taking part as a class.
We intentionally haven’t numbered the activities, so you can choose to skip any that you don’t want to do.

If you have students with physical impairments, we suggest completing the activities as a class. Sit students in a class circle. Ask students to stand in the centre of the circle if they would like to compete in any one of the physical activities. There are several activities students can take part in if they’re in a wheelchair or if they don’t have the physical strength to take part in high impact physical activities.
