In this activity, students sort waste items into the correct bin for recycling. This sorting activity is the perfect extension to any lesson on recycling, sustainability, or for an event like Clean Up Australia Day.
You may want to use only the first page of sorting tiles and the general recycling bin for Younger students. Older students will enjoy sorting through the different kinds of rubbish. If they get stuck, encourage them to research your local council's recycling rules to find out what they’re allowed to put in their bin.
