This unit is based on the Year 6 Australian Curriculum HASS Inquiry Skills, Knowledge and Understandings for Geography. In it, students develop their geography skills through comparing and contrasting Australia to our neighbours through the Asia-Pacific.
The unit begins with a structured study of the physical geography of the region, that should help students develop their geography knowledge and skills. Students then explore the human geography of the region through the diversity of the cultures and histories, and examine how our modern, interconnected world has influenced life in Australia.
