This unit is based on the Year 3 Australian Curriculum HASS Inquiry Skills, Knowledge and Understandings. Students investigate how The First Australians are connected to Country and Place. The unit will also explore how communities lived in the past, such as their forms of transport, types of technology and their natural and built environments. They will then investigate the causes and effects of changes to these aspects of a community. Finally, they will identify how and why people participate in and contribute to communities and look at the different groups and individuals that contribute to changes in communities.
