Poppy Templates
Standard Membership Remembrance Day ANZAC Day 1 Page

Poppy Templates

Poppy Templates is a printable page of poppy outlines for ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day crafts, suited to Foundation to Year 3.

Students colour the poppies red, cut them out and use them in their own artwork, such as a paper plate wreath, a class display or a card. It’s a simple, respectful way for younger students to take part in remembering those who served.

At a glance: one printable black-and-white page with rows of poppy outlines, ready as soon as it’s printed. You’ll need colouring pencils or paint, scissors and glue.

Use it alongside an ANZAC Day or Remembrance Day lesson, to build a class wreath, or as a calm activity on the day itself.

Learning goals

  • We are learning to identify the ways we observe special events, e.g. birthdays, Easter, Ramadan, NAIDOC Week, ANZAC Day and why these events are important.
  • We are learning to understand the celebrations and commemorations in places around the world (for example, Lunar New Year in countries of the Asia region), including those that are observed in Australia (for example, Christmas Day, ANZAC Day, NAIDOC Week, Diwali, Easter, Hanukkah, the Moon Festival and Ramadan).
