Paraphrase Match Game
This card-matching game develops students’ understanding of paraphrasing by requiring them to match original sentences with paraphrases that retain the same meaning. Students must read each card aloud and decide whether two sentences express the same idea using different wording and structure. The game reinforces meaning retention, vocabulary change and sentence restructuring while discouraging surface-level word matching.
