What Is Paraphrasing? Worksheet

This worksheet introduces paraphrasing by helping students distinguish between copied and paraphrased responses. Students identify whether examples are paraphrased or copied, evaluate the strength of paraphrases and explain why paraphrasing demonstrates understanding. The task builds foundational knowledge of what paraphrasing is and why it matters when clarifying meaning.
